Originally, Top Shelf opened in 2004 and was started as an event staffing and bartender service company with a simple idea; make events easier and more enjoyable while being cost-effective. In the beginning, I created bar and food-service teams and set up crews that would help local caterers and coordinators to create amazing events. I built 7 custom bars for different event types and locations. Over the last 16 years, our crews have had the pleasure of working beautiful backyard weddings for locals on a budget to delightful birthday celebrations for Santa Barbara residents. We have had the pleasure of working on huge weddings for Hollywood’s finest, millionaires, and widely successful corporations from all over the world. Locals in Santa Barbara have learned over the last decade that Top Shelf is the #1 event service team on the Central Coast!
After 10 years of working side by side with all of the amazing companies in Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez, I decided to create a new kind of company, a company that would encompass a majority of every event’s needs all from one business. I decided that I was ready to help coordinate, plan and create amazing events on my own for the Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez regions. Top Shelf has grown from an event staffing business to the all-inclusive event production company you see today!
After two years of coordinating and helping with over 100 weddings, I decided it was time to add a few more of the event necessities that I continually encountered. So I created Top Shelf DJ services and Photo Booth packages for special events. After 12 years in the industry, I had seen the companies that were doing it right and some that were not. I took notes from both sides and created two amazing additions to the Top Shelf Event Services platform. In another move to make our brides and grooms lives’ easier, Top Shelf has also obtained the ability to offer event rentals for up to 300 guests. That means we have your plates, forks, glassware, heaters and more should you need them. Also, I decided to offer a multi-services discount, so the more services I supply, the more a discount is applied.
